Connect to a remote Linux Server running anywhere via SSH

Authentication

To connect Orchestra to a remote Linux server, you'll need to specify the server host (either a static IP or public DNS), the SSH port and define the authentication you want to use. Orchestra supports both user Password and Key-pair authentication patterns.

We recommend you set up a user for SSH with non-root permissions as we do not restrict the commands that can be run on the server using this integration connection.

Task run results are saved to the /tmp directory on the server before being sent to Orchestra. To ensure the task can succeed as expected, the user provided for connecting to the server needs read and write permissions to the /tmp directory.

The Linux server must be accessible from Orchestra. If your server sits in a private network, you will need to allow traffic to the server on the configured SSH port from Orchestra IPs.
