Authentication

To authenticate Orchestra to Sigma, you need to create an API Token and Client ID in Sigma and follow the instructions below. Authentication is relatively straightforward, so please reach out to us at [e-mail] if you run into any issues.

Prerequisites

To connect Sigma Computing to Orchestra, you will need:

• Admin access to a Sigma Computing account

Instructions

Create API Key

Navigate to the Administration section of your Sigma Computing account. Select the 'APIs & Embed Secrets' section in the left hand menu. Use the 'Create New' button to add a new API Token

Determine API Endpoint

The endpoint to connect to Sigma via API is determined based on the cloud platform which hosts your Sigma organisation. To find the cloud platform you must have an Admin account type, then navigate to Administration > Account > General Settings, then locate the Site section. The Cloud field identifies the platform hosting your organisation. Once you have identified this you can determine your API endpoint using the table located on the Region, warehouse and feature support page of the Sigma docs.

Make sure to copy the domain given in table. Please remove any trailing /v2. For example if your organisation is hosted on AWS in the United States the value to enter for your API endpoint is aws-api.sigmacomputing.com.
