🤖Warehouses / Lakehouses

Data Platforms or Warehouses are cloud-hosted SaaS services that also provide end users with computational power and possibly storage in addition to functionality. They act as a layer between the data and orchestration tools.

We classify a warehouse as any provider offering storage and compute for SQL or other analytical workloads. We include Lakehouses under the same moniker.

Examples include BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks, and Dremio
